Photographer Martin Roemers traveled the world armed with a large white backdrop, a camera, and one simple question: 'Would you pose with your vehicle for me?'
The result is an eye-opening collection of images that raises pressing questions about our current global society. 'What about the environmental impact of our addiction to oil and engines?' but also: 'Does your choice of vehicle express something about your identity?'
At the same time, Roemers' images almost instantly bring a smile to your face.
Homo mobilis is interspersed with behind-the-scenes shots that clearly reveal the scale and ambition of this project.
